Kenya Off the Beaten Path

Upon reaching Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), a representative from African Diurnal Safaris will welcome the group and assist with the transfer to the pre-arranged hotel in Nairobi. Prepare for an exciting Kenya off the beaten path the following day.

Our guide will collect you from your hotel in Nairobi and drive to Samburu National Reserve, where you will enjoy a two-night stay.

Samburu is renowned for its stunning wildlife habitat within the Northern Circuit Kenya, characterized by its dry climate that supports a diverse range of fauna, including both avian and terrestrial species. The reserve features a picturesque landscape of riverine forests along the Ewaso Nyero River, arid acacia trees, and distinctive termite mounds. Samburu provides excellent opportunities for wildlife observation, with four of the Big Five present (excluding rhinos), and large herds of elephants frequently spotted. Sightings of leopards are also common and provide a remarkable experience.

Following your adventure in the wilderness, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Depart an early morning breakfast and proceed to Aberdare National Park. The scenic drive includes stops to view tea and coffee plantations, and a further stop to experience the largest open-air market in East Africa in Karatina. The Big Five are present in this forest habitat, the buffalo and the elephant being the most common ones. in the evening drive to the lodge / camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Today, you will set off for Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will cross the equator. This alkaline lake is situated in the picturesque Rift Valley and provides a breathtaking view, particularly due to the large congregation of pink flamingos. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its impressive population of both white and black rhinos, with over 40 black and 60 white rhinos that you may encounter during your safari. You are expected to arrive in time for lunch, after which you will embark on an afternoon game drive with the lake serving as a stunning backdrop.

After breakfast, you will set off from Lake Nakuru to Kenya’s renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, a key part of the Serengeti ecosystem. This remarkable destination is known for its thriving wildlife and serves as the backdrop for the breathtaking seasonal migration of thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and their predators.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy lunch before embarking on an evening stroll to a nearby Maasai village to immerse yourself in the local culture. The following day will be dedicated to an extensive game drive throughout the Masai Mara, culminating in an evening return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Savor a refreshing breakfast before embarking on a morning game drive, followed by a transfer to Nairobi with lunch provided along the way. You will arrive in Nairobi in the evening, where you will either be taken to your pre-arranged accommodation or transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your subsequent journey.
