East Africa Great National Parks & Zanzibar Beach

Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), you will be greeted and taken to your reserved accommodation, allowing you the opportunity to rest and recuperate from your travels.

You will be collected from your hotel in Nairobi and transferred to Amboseli National Park, where you will enjoy an evening game drive. Following this experience, you will proceed to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

You will dedicate an entire day to exploring Amboseli National Park, engaging in game drives both in the morning and afternoon. This picturesque park is renowned for its impressive elephant herds and stunning vistas of Mount Kilimanjaro, which lies just across the border in Tanzania. As Kenya’s second most visited national park, following the Masai Mara National Reserve, Amboseli was designated a UNESCO-Mab Biosphere Reserve in 1991. The park’s central basin experiences flooding during periods of heavy rainfall, drawing a multitude of wildlife to the area. It serves as an exceptional location for observing the Big Five, along with a variety of lesser-known and more elusive wildlife species.

After breakfast, proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park, where you will arrive in time for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, enjoy game drives until evening, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge is located in a remarkable area within one of Kenya’s most densely populated wetland national parks, recognized as a Ramsar site. It is conveniently situated just two hours’ drive from Nairobi, offering a scenic journey through lush forested uplands and alongside a series of picturesque lakes.

You have the option to embark on an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru today, after which you can return to the lodge for breakfast. Alternatively, you may choose to wake up at 7 a.m, savor your breakfast at a leisurely pace, and subsequently set off for Masai Mara National Reserve, enjoying an en route game drive from Nakuru.

Masai Mara, often referred to as Africa’s Greatest Wildlife Reserve, is located in the southwestern region of Kenya. Renowned for its abundant lion population, the Great Wildebeest Migration, and the vibrant culture of the Masai people, who are distinguished by their unique customs and attire, it stands as one of the most celebrated safari destinations in Africa.

Awaken before the break of day to seize a unique opportunity to experience a sunrise over the Masai Mara. Following a brief coffee, you will venture into the park to observe the sun igniting the savannah, while the big cats take advantage of the cooler morning temperatures to hunt for their next meal.

For a different perspective, consider embarking on a hot air balloon safari, allowing you to glide above the vibrant landscape before landing on the plains for a delightful champagne breakfast amidst the wildlife. Inquire with your safari expert about the possibility of incorporating this aerial adventure into your itinerary.

Subsequently, you will return to your lodge for a leisurely breakfast, after which you can prepare a picnic lunch and set out for a full day of exploration within the Masai Mara. After an exhilarating day filled with adventure, you will return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

This morning, you begin your day with an early breakfast before embarking on a morning game drive as you travel from Masai Mara to Tanzania, crossing the border at Isibania. Upon your arrival at Isibania, you will be greeted by a guide from African Diurnal Safaris, who will assist you in your transfer to Central Serengeti, where you will enjoy a two-night stay while exploring this renowned section of the park.

After your  breakfast at the camp, you will set off with your picnic lunch in hand. The morning will be dedicated to a game drive in the Eastern or Southern Serengeti, continuing until the afternoon. Subsequently, you will be transported to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival at the lodge situated on the rim of the crater, you can enjoy a leisurely evening, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

Depart after your breakfast at the lodge for a half day crater tour game drive with picnic lunch. On afternoon you will drive to Tarangire for the dinner and overnight stay.

The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep- volcanic crater, the largest unfolded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq. km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breath-taking natural wonder. You will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

You will begin your day with breakfast at the camp before embarking on your final safari through the magnificent East Africa Great National Parks. This experience will include both a morning and afternoon game drive within the park. Following your wildlife adventures, you will be transferred to Arusha town, where you can unwind at the lodge in the evening, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Tarangire National Park, which spans approximately 2,600 square kilometers, is particularly breathtaking during the dry season when numerous migratory wildlife species return to the reliable waters of the Tarangire River. During this time, large herds of wildebeest, zebras, elephants, eland, and oryx congregate in the park, remaining there until the rains arrive, prompting their migration to more favorable grazing areas.

Based on the flight schedule provided, you will be transported to either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.

Upon your arrival at Zanzibar International Airport, our guide will be there to greet you and facilitate your transfer to your booked accommdoation located in the Eastern Coast of zanzibar Island.

The next 3-nights are dedicated to unwinding on the pristine white sand beaches, indulging in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, and leisurely enjoying the amenities of your Zanzibar beach resort.

Renowned for their picturesque tropical beaches, the Zanzibar islands are often referred to as the Spice Islands due to the exotic spices cultivated in the region. A visit to the spice plantations offers an opportunity to engage with the vibrant and fragrant spices, including turmeric, ginger, black pepper, nutmeg, and cinnamon, through sight, smell, and taste.

Additionally, there are various optional activities available, such as embarking on a boat ride to one of the smaller islands for relaxation and exploration, participating in a dolphin tour, or visiting Prison Island.

On the final day of your journey through the magnificent East Africa Great National Parks and Zanzibar Beach, you may enjoy a leisurely morning at the resort following breakfast. You will have the opportunity to unwind until it is time for your transfer to Zanzibar International Airport, where you will either board your flight to Dar es Salaam to connect with your international flight home or take a direct flight back home from Zanzibar.

After checking out of your room at 10:30, you can leave your luggage at the resort and continue to take advantage of the resort’s amenities for an additional fee. When it is time for your transfer to the airport, our driver will meet you at the reception area and escort you to Zanzibar International Airport.
