Take six days an opportunity to go on an amazing journey in Uganda where you will get to enjoy a gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth National Park as well as several other amazing activities. Take a little of your time to gaze at all of the different species living in their natural habitats in these two famous Ugandan’s game Parks. You are guaranteed an authentic African vacation where you will have an exciting time.

Day 1: Arrival & depart to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Hopefully, your flight is scheduled for an early morning landing in Uganda. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport you will be picked up and have breakfast at the restaurant then depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey will take you 6-7 hours. You will have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take memorial photos. You will continue to Mbarara town where you will have lunch before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Check into your accommodation and depending on the time available you may choose to proceed for an evening game drive or just relax at your lodge in anticipation of the next day’s activities. You will have dinner and overnight at your accommodation.

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise in Kazinga.

After breakfast at the lodge leave for a morning game drive in the park during which you will see Lions, Elephants, Leopard (if you’re lucky), Bush bucks, Cape Buffaloes, Defassa Waterbucks, Giant Forest Hogs, Uganda Kobs, Afternoon drive bck to lodge for hot lunch. Afterward you will go for a two hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes George and Edward and you will surely be fascinated by the concentrations of giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others.

You will also see many varieties of birds at the water shores. Drive back at the lodge on evening for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Chimp tracking in the Kyambura gorge.

In the morning, you will go on a chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge. This gorge in the north of Queen Elizabeth National Park is known to inhabit lots of chimpanzees plus some other animals and birds as well. After chimps tracking, you will go back to the lodge for lunch awaiting an optional evening game drive
Drive in the evening at the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable.

Depart in the morning after breakfast with then drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest through the Isasha sector famously known for its tree-climbing lions’ population. With a strenuous day ahead, you will do less on arrival but just check in your accommodation, relax as you prepare for the Bwindi gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Day 5: Gorilla Trekking

After an early morning breakfast, walk to the park headquarters for briefing and thereafter you will proceed to the gorilla trail. Gorilla tracking normally lasts between 2 to 8 hours or even a day to encounter the gorillas. However, you will be allowed to stay in the presence of these awesome apes for at least an hour. It is advisable that you carry packed lunch as one cannot determine how long it may take to encounter the mountain gorillas. If time and energy allow, you may take a community walk after the gorilla tracking or just relax at your accommodation, most likely enjoying the sounds and sights of the area. Return to your accommodation (if you took a walk in the community), enjoy your evening, dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Depart from Bwindi to Kampala.

Early in the morning after your breakfast, you will travel back to Kampala. On the way back to the city, you will have lunch in Mbarara town and after passing Masaka town, there will be an opportunity to stop at the Equator for photos.
Arrive in Kampla on evening for catching night flight or n overnight in Kampala, and this will be the end of your safari.
