Today, your driver will meet you at your hotel in Kigali City and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to Uganda’s mountain gorillas. You’ll arrive in time for lunch, followed by a relaxing evening, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Bwindi Gorilla Trekking

After breakfast today, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure at approximately 8:30 am. Spending an hour with the mountain gorillas promises to be an unforgettable experience for all.

Once the trek concludes, you’ll return to the lodge to enjoy a hot lunch and take some time to refresh. In the evening, you can opt for a relaxing massage or pay a visit to the local pygmy community. The day will wrap up with dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you’ll embark on a transfer to Tarangire National Park; spend two nights in this spectacular Park.

The park is traversed by the Tarangire River, which draws a significant population of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and antelopes, especially during the dry season from June to October. It is common to witness large herds of elephants wandering through the savannah or seeking refuge under the unique baobab trees scattered throughout the area.

Additionally, Tarangire is home to over 550 bird species, making it the most diverse avian habitat in Africa, including the Kori bustard, recognized as the heaviest flying bird globally.

Serengeti National Park

Your day will begin after breakfast as you embark on a journey to Serengeti National Park, famed for its remarkable population of around 3 million animals and recognized as the largest protected savannah ecosystem in the world.

Along the way, within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you’ll have the chance to visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Olduvai Gorge. This historic location, thought to have been inhabited by early humans nearly 2 million years ago, offers a fascinating perspective on human evolution. It was here in 1960 that Dr. Louis Leakey made groundbreaking discoveries, including the first human skull and other significant fossils.

Following this insightful stop, your adventure continues as you drive to Serengeti Tortilis Camp situated in the central region of Serengeti National Park.

The Serengeti provides exceptional opportunities for wildlife observation, hosting a remarkable population of approximately three million animals. This diverse ecosystem includes substantial prides of lions, large herds of elephants, wildebeest, gazelles, buffalo, zebras, and an array of bird species, such as ostriches.

Your game drive will commence at dawn, allowing you to explore the region and observe many of the large mammals previously mentioned. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed during the excursion. As the afternoon approaches, animal activity increases, and you’ll continue your game drive. Additionally, there is an option to experience a hot air balloon safari over the breathtaking Serengeti landscape.

Transfer from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Game Drive into the Crater Floor

Ngorongoro Crater- Karatu

Depart in the morning from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will have the opportunity to explore the Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll descend to the crater floor for a game drive, a region often likened to the Garden of Eden due to its rich biodiversity. During your visit, you can expect to encounter a wide variety of wildlife, including all of the Big Five: elephants, black rhinos, buffalo, lions, and leopards, along with numerous hyenas, hippos, zebras, and wildebeests, which are particularly plentiful. A break for lunch will be provided.

In the afternoon, the game drive will continue around Lake Magadi, where you can observe flamingos, hippos, and various other water birds. Subsequently, you’ll exit the Crater and be transferred to Karatu, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Drive from Lake Manyara National Park back to Arusha Town

After breakfast, depart with your picnic lunch beside in your vehicle, drive to Lake Manyara National park for the game viewing until lunch time.

Lake Manyara is best known for the huge seasonal flamingo flocks fringing its shores, along with various other waterfowl.

The Lake Manyara National park is also known for its tree-climbing lions, often spotted sleeping in the trees or in the shade below, as well as its big baboon troops. On your game drive you’ll be lookout for elephants, hippos, buffalos, banded mongooses, monkeys, klipspringers, and numerous gazelle and antelope species.

In the afternoon after picnic lunch, drive back to Arusha town at your own booked accommodation or transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home, marking the end of your trip.
