Bwindi Impenetrable Gorilla Trekking

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from African Diurnal Safaris, who will then escort you in a private vehicle to your reserved lodging in Kampala.

You will depart in the morning at 7:00 AM, where our professional driver-guide will collect you from a location of your hotel in Kampala. Following a briefing regarding the itinerary for your three-day safari adventure, you will begin your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, located in the southwestern region of Uganda.

You are expected to arrive at the lodge in the evening, where you can unwind, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Please note that due to the lengthy drive from Kampala to Bwindi, there is an option for a scheduled flight from Entebbe to Kihihi or Kisoro, which includes a brief transfer to the lodge, available for an additional fee.

Following an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the gorilla trail. The duration of gorilla tracking can vary significantly, typically ranging from 2 to 8 hours, and in some cases, it may extend to an entire day before you encounter the gorillas.

Once you do find these magnificent creatures, you will be permitted to observe them for a minimum of one hour. It is recommended to bring a packed lunch, as the time required to locate the mountain gorillas is unpredictable.

Should you have the time and energy after the tracking experience, you may opt for a community walk or simply unwind at your accommodation, taking in the local sights and sounds.

Finally, return to your lodging (if you participated in the community walk), where you can enjoy your evening, dinner, and a restful overnight stay.

In the early morning following your breakfast, you will commence your journey back to Kampala. During the return trip, you will pause for lunch in Mbarara town, and after traversing through Masaka town, there will be a chance to stop at the Equator for photographs.

You are expected to arrive in Kampala in the evening, allowing you to either catch a night flight or be dropped off at your pre-arranged accommodation in the city, marking the conclusion of your safari.
