Drive from Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park

You’ll be collected from your hotel in Arusha town in the morning and proceed to the stunning Lake Manyara National Park. Upon arrival at the park you’ll embark on a guided game drive in the park.

As you explore the picturesque landscape, you’ll encounter the expansive soda lake nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. In addition, the park boasts a significant population of elephants, the renowned tree-climbing lions, and countless flamingos, all of which you’ll have the opportunity to observe before returning to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Drive from Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Today you’ll go to the most famous safari park in the world – Serengeti, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Serengeti National Park, this is one of the largest parks in Tanzania and has a large population of wildlife. Embark on morning and afternonn game drive. Here, you are sure to see: lions, antelopes, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes and zebras. There is a good chance of spotting cheetahs, serval cats and other rare animals of the African savannah. The Serengeti is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, chosen because of its important ecosystem, the dense population of animals and the annual Great Migration.

Drive from Serengeti to Olduvai Gorge Museum

After breakfast, you’ll depart for the Ngorongoro conservation area with a short stop at Maasai Village for cultural interactions as well as Olduvai Gorge en-route. At the gorge you’ll be able to learn about some of the earliest human remains that were discovered in the area, helping fill in some of the missing gaps in the human evolutionary story. Later you’ll make your way to your lodge at the rim of the crater where you’ll be able to spend the rest of your day.

Ngorongoro Crater - Tarangire National Park

Ngorongoro Crater

Today you are going to the Legendary Ngorongoro Crater! Your day will begin early in the morning, when your guide arrives to drive you to the Ngorongoro Crater, part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep and 300 sq km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. You’ll visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos and other water birds can usually be seen here.

Later in the late afternoon you’ll ascend the Crater and drive to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll be staying at Tarangire Tortilis Camp.

Tarangire National Park is well known for its big groups of elephants and the huge amount of giant baobab trees. These trees can live for hundreds of years and are actually a source of water for elephants in the dry season as they have a special technique to draw water from them. Besides, the Tarangire River is the only source of water in the dry season, which is why in this season in Tarangire you can see groups of up to 250 elephants next to many more animals!

Today begins with breakfast at the camp before setting off on a final en-route morning game drive in Tarangire. From there, youll head back to Arusha town, where you’ll either be dropped off to your pre-booked accommodation or continue directly to Kilimanjaro International airport for your onward travels to mark the end of your Tanzania Wildlife Safari.
Having second thoughts? It’s also possible to extend your trip by adding a few days to your holiday by going to one of Tanzania’s paradise islands, such as Zanzibar, Pemba, or Mafia Island!
