Mikumi Safari Tours

You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and transferred to the train station for a short two-hour journey to Morogoro town.

Upon arrival, you’ll meet our guide and set off on a road trip to Mikumi Wildlife Lodge, a drive that takes approximately 1 to 2 hours. Once there, you’ll enjoy a freshly prepared lunch, followed by a brief period of relaxation in the late afternoon. Additionally, you may choose to go on an evening game drive near the lodge, which will be capped off with dinner and an overnight stay.

The next 2-days are reserved for an extensive morning afternoon game drive in Mikumi National Park as well as cultural interaction with Maasai tribe.

During your safari, you’ll have the opportunity to observe a diverse array of bird species, along with significant populations of giraffes, buffalo, and elephants. With a bit of luck, you might also catch a glimpse of lions and leopards. Additionally, you can expect to see other wildlife such as zebras, hippos, hartebeests, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, elands, and various types of antelopes.

In the evening, you’ll return to the lodge for sundowner, relaxation, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

The day begins with a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, after which you embark on a game drive along the main road in Mikumi, heading toward Morogoro town to board your train back to Dar es Salaam. You are expected to reach in the late afternoon or early evening, where our driver will meet you and take you to your pre-arranged accommodation or the airport for the next leg of your journey.
