Classic Masai Mara Safari

You will be collected from your hotel at 7:00 a.m. and transported westward to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, with a lunch stop along the way, ensuring your arrival in time for an evening game drive.

The Masai Mara is renowned as Kenya’s premier wildlife sanctuary, boasting a remarkable diversity of over 450 recorded animal species, including migratory ones. While the months of July, August, and September are particularly notable for the influx of wildebeest and zebra across the Mara plains, the reserve is home to a variety of resident wildlife throughout the year. Additionally, the famous Maasai tribesmen inhabit the surrounding areas of the game reserve. You will reach the lodge in the evening, where dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay.

Depart after breakfast; you will proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape has scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography.

Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Arrive back  at the camp for dinner and overnight.

Begin your day with an early morning game drive, as both nocturnal and diurnal animals are typically most active before the sun rises, prompting them to seek shelter in the shade. This experience in the Masai Mara plains will continue until around 8:00 AM. Following the drive, return to the lodge for breakfast before departing for Nairobi, with lunch provided along the way. You will arrive in Nairobi in the evening, where you can either be dropped off at your pre-arranged accommodation or transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward journey.
