Rubondo Island Camp is the only lodge on Rubondo Island National Park, Africa’s largest island national park. Tropical forests provide a protected habitat for wildlife that includes sitatunga, elephants, giraffes, 200 species of birds, and wild chimpanzees. The deep waters of Lake Victoria also offer spectacular fishing for record-breaking Nile perch. Rubondo Island Camp offers eight tranquil cottages on the edge of the forest. These cottages are quintessential elements of Rubondo Island Camp, as they overlook the beach and the lake beyond, constructed using traditional methods and local materials. One of these cottages is a spacious family unit. Every cottage has an en suite bathroom with hot running water. You can unwind on your private veranda, sipping coffee in the mornings or reading a book in the afternoons. This is while taking in the stunning views of the lake.
