Katavi Camp features eight spacious Meru-style tents perched on elevated wooden platforms and covered with thatched roofs. Three of these tents include plunge pools for added luxury. Each tent also boasts a large shaded veranda equipped with two wooden armchairs and a hammock, perfect for enjoying the refreshing breeze. The interior is bright and airy, thanks to mesh windows on the front and sides, which are especially appreciated during the warmer months. The tents are furnished with a writing desk, a luggage rack, a rustic yet comfortable bed, and an en-suite bathroom with a solar-heated shower. Additionally, there are two family units as well as honeymoon suites available for guests.
When you stay at KatavI Wildlife Camp, game drives are the main attraction here. However, guided bush walks are perfect if you enjoy more intimate insights into the wilderness. And there’s certainly lots to see. You’ll enjoy the varied vegetation, huge herds of buffalo, dense pods of hippo. You’ll also see sizeable groups of roan, sable and zebra and their attendant predators. With few (if any) other vehicles in the area and the ability to drive off-road, you’re likely to have sightings all to yourself – and that’s appearing.
