Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to visit various attractions in and around Entebbe or Kampala. Please note that any activities undertaken today will be at your own expense.

In the evening, you will arrive at your accommodation, where you can prepare for the upcoming primate safari in Kibale Forest scheduled for the following day.

Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park

The journey commenced in Kampala, requiring a six-hour drive to Fort Portal in western Uganda. This route is remarkably picturesque, featuring views of tea plantations and the verdant countryside that is emblematic of Uganda. The final hour of travel leads through a dense forest, where the sounds of wildlife can be heard. Upon arrival in the late afternoon or early evening, guests can unwind at the lodge, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest

Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Community Walk

Embark on your journey in the morning for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience, where you will be accompanied by a knowledgeable forest ranger who will guide you through the tracking process, either in the morning or afternoon.

Following this, you will engage in a swamp walk lasting 2 to 3 hours, which will lead you through picturesque grasslands, quaint local communities, and stunning landscapes, where you can expect to be warmly greeted by the locals with cheerful waves.

Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you have the opportunity to unwind at your lodge, embark on a hike at Crater Lake, or explore a nearby tea plantation. At the plantation, you can engage with the tea pickers and gain insights into the selection process for the finest quality leaves (this visit is optional and at your own expense).

Following this experience, your journey will proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, where you will arrive in the afternoon for lunch before setting out on an evening game drive.

Start your day with an early breakfast at your hotel before embarking on an extensive game drive to witness the breathtaking first light of dawn. This experience offers the opportunity to observe a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, lions, waterbucks, leopards, Uganda kobs, and numerous warthogs.

Following lunch in the afternoon, you will enjoy a scenic boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward.

After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will embark on a drive lasting approximately 9 to 10 hours back to either Kampala or Entebbe (Airport), with a scheduled stop at the equator for a necessary photograph and some time for souvenir shopping. You will arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the late evening, where you will check into your pre- arranged accommodation or being tranfserd to Entebbe International Airport for the late night flight back home.
