Serengeti Safari from Mwanza

On this day, a guide from African Diurnal Safaris will meet you at Mwanza Airport or your hotel in Mwanza at 6:30 AM, following your breakfast. You will embark on a two-hour drive from Mwanza to Serengeti National Park, during which you will pass through small villages en route to the Ndabaka entrance gate.

Upon entering the park, you will enjoy game viewing in the western corridor along the Grumeti River, an area renowned for its resident migratory animals and diverse wildlife. The Grumeti River, the second largest in the Serengeti, is home to numerous crocodiles and hippos that can be observed in their pools year-round, along with lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and cheetahs. The game viewing will continue until evening, after which you will drive to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today is reserved for an extensive game drive across the Serengeti Plain. Experience an extraordinary morning and evening of wildlife observation in Tanzania’s premier national park. During the afternoon, you will take a break for a picnic lunch amidst the African wilderness. This is an excellent opportunity to potentially encounter the Big Five of Africa—lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and buffalo—alongside a stunning variety of other wildlife. After an incredible day exploring the Serengeti National Park, you will return to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

On the morning following breakfast, depart from the camp equipped with all necessary supplies and a picnic lunch. Begin your journey for game viewing as you travel from Central Serengeti through the Western Corridor, making your way back to Mwanza town.

You will arrive in Mwanza in the late afternoon, where you can either be dropped off at your pre-arranged accommodation or be directly transferred to Mwanza Airport for your subsequent travels.
