The Classic Tents at the camp are nestled in a forest and are somewhat smaller than the Superior Tents. Their distance from the central amenities makes them particularly appealing for those seeking privacy and peace. Moreover, the Superior Tents at Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp are designed to enhance the breathtaking views available from each one. Some offer expansive panoramas of the Masai Mara National Reserve, while others provide glimpses of the Mara framed by a lush forest canopy. A select few are located within the forest itself, perfect for birdwatchers. Additionally, a couple feature stunning views of the escarpment that gained fame in Out of Africa.
There are three pairs of ‘family’ tents that share a connecting passageway for maximum privacy and security, and two of these also have private outdoor areas.
In each safari tent at Kichwa Tented there is an en-suite bathroom with shower, stone floors, and soft lighting. Each tent stands at least eight meters away from the next, ensuring absolute seclusion. It is lovely to sit on the terrace of your tent and see what game wanders past.
Kichwa Tented Camp has a lovely swimming pool, with views out over the endless plains. It is the perfect place to cool off in the middle of the day.
