Hhando Coffee Lodge is located in the volcanic highlands near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, 15 km from Karatu. The design and decor of the accommodations are all locally influenced. They are neatly set up on the grounds of a coffee plantation. Views over the surrounding farmlands paint a picture of rich greens and browns. The ambience, typical for Hhando Coffee Lodge, is tranquil.
The public areas contain a relaxing lounge area and a pleasant bar. The dining room is set up with individual tables and an open fire. All offer a panoramic view over the plantation. Additionally, Hhando Lodge offers an inviting swimming pool where guests can cool down in between or after a day of exploration. Guests can enjoy a little workout in the small gym or a wonderful spa treatment.
Hhando has 10 Luxury Cottages and three Family Bungalows are rounded chalets with red screeded floors. Moreover, they have yellow walls with wooden window frames. There is a fireplace, and each bungalow at Hhando Coffee Lodge has a cozy verandah.
The beds are wooden four-poster with mosquito nets and crisp linens, and each room boasts a safe to store valuables, a small desk and chair, and a comfortable sitting chair. There is a tea/coffee-making station, and space for guests to hang their clothes. Bathrooms are en-suite, with walls made of stone and each bathroom comprises a toilet, vanity, and shower.
