Murchison Falls & Source of Nile River

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be greeted by a representative from African Diurnal Safaris, who will then transport you in a private vehicle to your reserved lodging in either Entebbe or Kampala.

On the morning after your breakfast at the hotel in Kampala, you will be transfered to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an opportunity to track rhinos. This sanctuary is the sole location in Uganda where one can observe these endangered animals in their natural environment. Following this remarkable experience, you will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the evening for a game drive en-route to your lodge, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will set off for a morning game drive along the Northern bank, where there is a chance to observe a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, cape buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, and waterbucks. Following this, you will return to the lodge for a hot lunch in the afternoon.

Subsequently, you will embark on a boat trip along the serene Victoria Nile, approaching the base of the falls, which is located just a few meters from the ‘Devil’s Cauldron.’ During this journey, you will have the opportunity to admire the impressive hippos and crocodiles, and over the 17-kilometer stretch, you may also encounter elephants, waterbucks, and Uganda kobs. The boat will drop you off near the falls, from where you will hike to the summit.

This thrilling experience will bring you in close proximity to the powerful whitewater as it rushes through the narrow crevice below. Take a moment to relax at the top and appreciate the stunning beauty of the Nile. In the evening, you will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Depart after yopur breakfast at the lodge, embark on a leisurely five-hour drive back to Kampala, arriving in Kampala around lunchtime. In the evening, set out for a tour of Kampala city, exploring various cultural sites including the Uganda Museum. Conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge in Kampala.

Begin your journey in the morning after breakfast, departing for Jinja, located to the east of Uganda, while traversing the Mabira Forest.

Jinja is recognized as the second largest town and an industrial hub in Uganda, distinguished by its Asian architectural influences, thriving brewery industries, and vibrant gardens. During your visit, explore the Source of the Nile at Lake Victoria, followed by a trip to the breathtaking Bujagali Falls on the Nile River, situated just a few kilometers from the source. For those interested, an optional boat ride on the Nile offers an unforgettable experience.

Enjoy lunch in the afternoon at Bujagali, where you can savor local cuisine, before returning to Kampala for dinner and an overnight stay at your own booked accommodation, or alternatively, you may be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your night flight, concluding your trip.
