Tanzania Wilderness Safari

Meet our safari guide at Kilimanjaro International Airport depending on your flight arrival time,
you will be picked up and transferred about 1hr drive to Arusha town.
Arrive at the lodge for leisure while getting prepared for the next day departure for your safari.

In the morning, you will be greeted by your personal guide and vehicle at your hotel in Arusha, and then transported to Tarangire National Park, where you will arrive with ample time to enjoy morning and afternoon game drive.

The park is traversed by the Tarangire River, which draws a significant population of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, and antelopes, especially during the dry season from June to October. It is common to observe large herds of elephants wandering through the savannah grasses or seeking refuge under the uniquely shaped baobab trees scattered throughout the park.

Additionally, Tarangire is home to over 550 bird species, making it the most diverse avian habitat in Africa, including the Kori bustard, recognized as the heaviest flying bird globally.

Depart in the morning around 7 AM after enjoying breakfast, equipped with a packed lunch, and proceed to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, there will be a stop at a Maasai village for cultural interactions, which are available for an additional fee of $100 per vehicle. Following this, you will descend to the crater floor for an opportunity to observe wildlife, including the renowned black rhino among the famous Big Five, as well as various other animal species. After lunch, further game viewing will take place in the afternoon until evening, during which you will ascend the crater and subsequently drive out of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area towards Karatu.

After breakfast, you will embark on a drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive that will last until the afternoon. After enjoying lunch, you will return to Arusha town for your drop-off at either the lodge or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your ownward travels.

Lake Manyara serves as an excellent introduction to Tanzania’s avian diversity, with over 400 bird species documented; even those visiting Africa for the first time can expect to see around 100 species in a single day. Beyond the floodplain lies a narrow strip of acacia woodland, which is the preferred habitat for Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions and its remarkably tusked elephants.
